Where does JGF actively farm?
Currently we rent, custom farm, and own land in Butler and Floyd counties of Iowa. Often traveling into Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Grundy, and Mitchell counties for custom farming. We’re willing to explore all opportunities!

What sustainable practices does the farm implement?
Reduced tillage and split applied nitrogen and sulfur are some simple practices we implement along with utilizing poultry manure instead of mined fertilizers. More complex practices include subsurface drainage, waterways, and buffer strips to minimize erosion and leaching of vital crop nutrients.

What equipment does JGF utilize?
Case IH and Challenger are the primary brands you’ll find on our farm. Other CNH and AGCO brands such as Precision Planting, GSI, and Miller are also utilized. Ag Leader Technologies is our primary technology provider. All equipment is equipped with the latest GPS technologies to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Is JGF hiring and can they hire H2A workers?
Currently we are not set up to employ H2A visa workers.

What does JGF grow?
We raise yellow field corn and soybeans for seed. Most corn is delivered to corn ethanol plants while soybeans are cleaned and planted by farmers the following season.

Can people visit the farm or buy products directly from you?
We don’t operate a retail business, but we sometimes offer educational tours or field days. Our grain is typically sold to co-ops, ethanol plants, and feed processors rather than directly to consumers.
